PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATION
This is an in-depth evaluation reserved for individuals who have been court ordered for a psychological evaluation, or found to be in need of a more complete assessment. This evaluation is performed by a Licensed Psychologist, and is used with individuals who are suspected to evidence some type of significant mental or emotional disorder, or whose behavior may reflect considerable social impairment.
The purpose of the psychological evaluation is to resolve diagnostic questions that cannot be addressed by a mental health or other psychosocial assessment. These questions may involve: (1) intellectual deficits, (2) cognitive deficits, (3) mental health diagnostic issues, (4) the interaction of personality variables with these factors, or (5) parenting issues.
