Outpatient Group Treatment

COGNITIVE SKILLS TRAINING

Program Length: 8-16 sessions


This program teaches individuals how to recognize triggers eliciting aggressive and violent responses, how to differentiate anger from other emotions, and learn conflict negotiation skills to get their point across while respecting the rights of others.

Criteria:

This program is designed for individuals who have had difficultly managing their temper, or have demonstrated an over-reliance on aggressive strategies to resolve conflicts.

Outpatient Group Treatment

SELF-MANAGEMENT

Program Length: 8-16 sessions


Clients work closely with the counselor to establish individual  goals, prioritizing their problems, and develop problem-solving  strategies to address selected treatment targets. Our emphasis is on establishing successes, and building on those to develop a stronger  sense of self-efficacy and confidence.

Criteria:

This program is designed for individuals re-entering  our community following incarceration, those with emotional or psychological problems, and those in need of general life-skills  training.

Program Length: Minimum of 6 sessions

When mental health problems interfere with daily life, cognitive behavioral therapy provides new ways of thinking to help alleviate symptoms without medication. 

​

Scheduling:

Individual - 30 or 60 minutes

Couples - 60 minutes
